Health tech company Arcadia has launched its next-generation data platform, which leverages an open lakehouse architecture to help improve healthcare organisations’ big data utilisation.

The platform, designed to support population health and value-based care, offers significant speed and agility enhancements, almost doubling the performance of its previous version, stated the technology vendor.

Arcadia chief product and technology officer Nick Stepro said: “Arcadia’s data platform seamlessly integrates diverse healthcare information quickly and at scale to enhance decision-making, reduce cognitive load, and drive efficiency for end users ranging from clinical to analytical.

“Additionally, investing in Arcadia’s powerful platform accelerates digital transformation by making it faster and easier to adopt the latest technology and deliver it to the healthcare workforce.”

Implemented by over 15 customers, including Umpqua Health, the new platform allows healthcare organisations to expedite digital transformation and adopt generative AI solutions more swiftly.

Arcadia said its data platform unifies the expansive storage and flexibility of data lakes with the structured querying capabilities of data warehouses.

Utilising cloud-native technologies, the platform is well-suited for handling various data types and supports a broad spectrum of analytics and AI applications.

The platform also enables AI with an ecosystem of over 100 models and a development factory for self-service applications.

Arcadia president and CEO Michael Meucci said: “We injected strategic capital into our business in 2023 to accelerate platform innovation and enhance our ability to help healthcare customers effectively leverage data to improve value-based care delivery.

“This investment is more than a financial commitment; it’s a cornerstone of Arcadia’s future growth and integral to our mission of transforming healthcare through data-driven insights.”

Last month, Arcadia partnered with Atropos Evidence Network for informed decision-making in value-based care.
