US-based AI companies AvodahMed and aiHealth have partnered to optimise healthcare revenue cycle operations through the use of AI-driven technologies.

The collaboration aims to streamline clinical workflows by combining ambient AI scribe technology from AvodahMed with aiHealth’s coding automation.

By integrating AI-driven real-time documentation and coding automation, the companies aim to allow physicians to dedicate more time to patient care.

They will work to minimise administrative challenges, particularly in coding and billing, as well as enhance revenue cycle processes.

AvodahMed president Paul Wiley said: “This partnership represents the future of AI in healthcare.

“Together with aiHealth, we are creating an end-to-end intelligent coding and billing automation solution that both enhances provider efficiency and drives measurable financial and operational impact for healthcare organisations.”

AvodahMed and aiHealth will aim to use natural language processing, machine learning, AI technology and direct-to-bill capabilities to increase provider productivity by minimising billing delays and enhancing charting.

The companies said their capabilities allow them to automate patient encounters from transcription to billing with reduced human intervention.

They will also offer an optimised revenue cycle management feature, which aims to reduce coding lag and enhance revenue capture through direct-to-bill capabilities.

In addition, the collaboration seeks to increase physician productivity by integrating with existing electronic health record systems and offering custom automation.

Over the course of the partnership, AvodahMed and aiHealth plan to launch real-time workflow intelligence, AI-driven audit and analytics capabilities, as well as expand their speciality-specific automation services.

aiHealth president Kyle Swarts said: “aiHealth is thrilled to partner with AvodahMed to deliver industry-leading ambient scribe and autonomous coding capabilities to the ambulatory market.

“Together, we aim to empower providers by deploying contemporary AI solutions and eliminating tasks that distract providers’ focus on patient care. AvodahMed and aiHealth are delivering the healthcare technology workflow of the future.”
