Baptist Memorial Health Care, a network of hospitals, speciality care centres and physicians, has launched ten Baptist Urgent Care centres across multiple states in the US.

The new centres are located in Wynne in Arkansas, Collierville, Bartlett, and Jackson in Tennessee, as well as in Batesville, Columbus, Horn Lake, Starkville, West Point, and Tupelo in Mississippi.

A centre in Germantown, Tennessee, is set to open in mid-March.

The new centres will open throughout the week and cater to non-life-threatening injuries, illnesses, and other urgent conditions.

In addition, the centres support walk-ins, and for added convenience, patients can even schedule a same-day or next-day visit online via Baptist Urgent Care’s online scheduling platform ‘Hold My Spot’.

Patients can also opt for telemedicine consultations.

Baptist Memorial highlighted that the new centres accept most insurance plans, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Centene, Cigna, United, Humana, TRICARE, Medicare, and Medicaid, alongside payments via cash and credit cards.

The new centres have received accreditation from the Urgent Care Association of America.

According to Baptist Memorial, the centres have been opened as part of its strategic expansion plan to provide accessible urgent care services to people across the US.

These Baptist Urgent Care centres are a result of a joint venture effort between Baptist Memorial Health Care and the Urgent Team Family of Urgent Care & Walk-In Centers, which is an independent operator of urgent and family care centres across different locations in the Southeast.

Headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, the Urgent Team Family currently operates eight brands across numerous locations, providing a wide array of healthcare services, including occupational health and wellness care.

These brands include Baptist Urgent Care, Baptist Health Urgent Care, Physicians Care, Huntsville Hospital Urgent Care, Ascension Saint Thomas Urgent Care, Washington Regional Urgent Care, Urgent Team, and Sherwood Urgent Care.

The latest announcement comes a month after Baptist Memorial Health Care announced completing its merger with Meridian, Mississippi-based Anderson Regional Health System.
