US-based non-profit speciality healthcare provider association Benchmarks in North Carolina has entered a partnership with NC ONEcare to transform healthcare outcomes for children, adults, and families throughout the state.

Managed by Alera Health, NC ONEcare is a clinically integrated network (CIN) that represents more than 30 behavioural health, primary care, and child service organisations.

It offers a unified point of accountability to enhance health outcomes and reduce costs for those receiving behavioural health and/or child services.

Under the latest alliance, both NC ONEcare and Benchmarks will work to elevate healthcare access, quality, and equity across North Carolina.

This collaboration is set to lead advancements in population health improvement, training, analytics, system of care management, and advocacy.

It will utilise collective expertise, with Benchmarks providing its legislative and policy advocacy strengths, which will complement NC ONEcare’s integrated network of healthcare providers, including behavioural health and primary/paediatric care.

This combined effort will focus on creating a ‘no wrong door’ system, ensuring families receive all the necessary support and services.

Alera Health, which specialises in population health management, technology, and data analytics solutions, will also support the partnership through its Care Optimization Suite.

Benchmarks CEO and president Karen Mcleod said: “Our collaboration with NC ONEcare will empower child service providers to collaborate seamlessly with hospitals, primary care, and social service organisations, all while producing better outcomes for the families they serve.”

The collaboration is further expected to set an example for other state child and family programmes and promote the implementation of a comprehensive and inclusive healthcare delivery system for North Carolinians.

NC ONEcare chair, Benchmarks member and Monarch president / CEO Peggy Terhune added: “The impact will result in improved integrated care for our most vulnerable citizens.

“The focus on healthcare access, quality, and equity using analytics will demonstrate improved population health outcomes.”
