BJC HealthCare and Encompass Health have announced the opening of an inpatient rehabilitation hospital in the US.

The 40-bed Rehabilitation Institute of Southern Illinois, which is located at 2351 Frank Scott Parkway East in Shiloh, features all private patient rooms.

It also has a therapy gym with modern rehabilitation technologies, a therapy courtyard, a dayroom and a cafeteria.

The Rehabilitation Institute of Southern Illinois has been opened to serve patients who are recovering from debilitating illnesses and injuries.

They include neurological disorders, strokes, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations and complex orthopedic conditions.

The new facility is 146th inpatient rehabilitation hospital of Encompass Health and second in Illinois.

Another two hospitals are also planned for opening this year in Illinois.
