US-based mental health care provider Bloom Health Centers has launched a new location in Winchester, Virginia.

The centre is being headed by psychiatrist Dr Suzanne Eschenbach and psychiatric physician assistant Tamara McDaniel.

This expansion is part of Bloom’s goal to make mental health care more accessible by identifying areas with limited services and bridging the gap.

Bloom CEO Dr Neel Nene said: “We are excited to serve the Winchester community with quality mental health care in our new location.

“We knew there was a need for better access to therapeutic services in Winchester, and the immediate demand of this office solidified that for us.

“We are now working hard to expand our team of mental health providers so we can meet the needs of this diverse community.”

Having worked in the specialised psychiatry space for nearly 30 years, Dr Eschenbach will be the Winchester team’s clinical leader.

Dr Eschenbach said: “I believe everyone deserves a better quality of life, and it all starts with mental wellness.

“I joined Bloom because I believe in our mission of improving access to mental health care.

“I am looking forward to leading our team of mental health experts to support the wellness needs of Winchester and the surrounding communities.”

The new location allows Bloom to reach a broader audience and offer customised care through its collaborative Care Team model and therapies such as TMS and Spravato.

Telehealth appointments are also available for patients in several states, with Bloom accepting most insurance plans.
