UAE-based private tertiary healthcare provider Burjeel Holdings has launched eight new PhysioTherabia centres across five cities in Saudi Arabia.

The eight centres are located in Ghadeer Fitness Time, Al Nada Men’s Gym and Shafie Fitness Time in Riyadh; Waterfront Fitness Time in Yanbu; Al Olaya Fitness Time and Golden Belt Fitness Time in Al Khobar; Al Faisaliah Fitness Time in Dammam; and Al Salehiyah Male Gym in Jeddah.

This expansion significantly increases the company’s geographical footprint within Saudi Arabia.

The opening of the PhysioTherabia centres builds upon Burjeel’s existing partnership with Leejam Sports Company.

In 2023, this collaboration helped establish Riyadh’s first four centres.

PhysioTherabia centres, which are designed to meet varied wellness requirements, are now available within Leejam’s Fitness Time facilities.

It is a network of facilities dedicated to providing physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and other wellness services to support holistic healthcare.

Burjeel noted that this gym-based model integrates preventive rehabilitation and fitness, facilitating physical recovery and wellness for patients of all ages.

The centres are equipped to offer specialised services such as musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation, paediatric rehabilitation care, sports injury recovery, back and spinal treatments, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

The launch of these centres is also in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 objectives.

Furthermore, PhysioTherabia aims to position Saudi Arabia as a regional hub for comprehensive sports performance training and management.

This initiative supports the integration of Saudi Arabia into the Exercise is Medicine Global Health Network, overseen by the American College of Sports Medicine.

Burjeel Holdings CEO John Sunil said: “We are delighted to expand PhysioTherabia centres to more parts of Saudi Arabia, marking a significant milestone in our commitment to providing advanced physiotherapy services in the Kingdom.

“It underscores our dedication to empowering individuals on their journey to optimal health and wellness while strengthening our presence in key regions. We reiterate our target to establish 60 such centres within and outside Leejam Sports’ gyms across the Kingdom by the end of 2025.”

Last month, Burjeel Holdings confirmed plans to set up two-day surgery centres in Riyadh by 2025.
