Canadian clinical network ELNA Medical Group has acquired La Cité Médicale, a medical group based in the greater Quebec City area.
La Cité Médicale offers primary and specialised medical services at its two medical complexes, namely La Cité Médicale in Sainte-Foy (Place de la Cité) and La Cité Médicale in Charlesbourg.
Both complexes have been operational for more than 15 years and cover a combined area of 60,000ft².
The deal will allow ELNA to expand its presence in Canada while expanding La Cité Médicale’s service offerings, which currently include two family medicine groups alongside corporate services and private services.
More than 100 physicians and 20 nurses, as well as a support team of more than 100 professionals working under La Cité Médicale, will be integrated into ELNA.
La Cité Médicale de Sainte-Foy medical director Dr Michel Lafrenière will continue providing medical direction for the clinic following the acquisition.
