Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Tustin in California has opened a new 65-bed location at 15120 Kensington Park Drive.
The new location is set to replace the older facility located at 14851 Yorba Street.
Encompass Health of Tustin CEO Paula Redmond said: “The hospital has been serving the Santa Ana community and beyond for more than 20 years, and we are excited to welcome our patients into this wonderful new location.
“With this state-of-the-art hospital and the talented team in it, we will be able to help more individuals recover and find the confidence to move past their illness or injury and back to a more independent life.”
The new 69,500-square-foot location features all private patient rooms, two spacious therapy gyms, a pharmacy, courtyard, dining room and dayroom spaces.
Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Tustin provides services to patients recuperating from different illnesses and injuries such as strokes, neurological disorders, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations and complex orthopaedic conditions.
During their stay, the patients will receive therapy and access to advanced technologies that will facilitate their recovery.
It will also provide physical, occupational and speech therapies.
The hospital has secured Disease-Specific Care Certification from The Joint Commission for its stroke rehabilitation programme.
Encompass Health focuses on providing facility–based and home–based patient care through inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, home health agencies and hospice agencies.
The healthcare system has 147 hospitals, 252 home health locations and 99 hospice locations across 42 US states and Puerto Rico.
Earlier this year, Encompass and Lee Healthcare partnered to operate two new inpatient rehabilitation hospitals in Florida.
