
US-based healthcare services provider Encompass Health has unveiled plans to build a new hospital to provide rehabilitative care in Prosper, Texas.
The all-private patient room hospital will be equipped with 40 beds, cafeteria, dining room, pharmacy, therapy courtyard, therapy gym featuring advanced rehabilitation technologies and a daily living suite.
It will provide physical, occupational and speech therapies, as well as a round-the-clock nursing care in addition to local acute care services.
The company noted that the new hospital will add to its list of other hospital locations in Arlington, Bedford, Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano and Richardson.
Patients recovering from conditions such as strokes, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopaedic conditions and other neurological disorders can avial medical care at the future hospital.
Encompass Health has a national network of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and home health and hospice agencies.

Currently, it is building two 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospitals in San Angelo and Waco, Texas.
The San Angelo facility will open in spring of 2021 and Waco hospital will commence services in the summer of this year.
Last month, Encompass Health and Ascension St. John have announced plans to build a new 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Owasso, Oklahoma.
