Guelph General Hospital in Canada has started using Sectra’s digital pathology module to improve its diagnostic capabilities and workflow efficiency.
The hospital has integrated the module into its existing Sectra One Cloud service, enabling pathologists to access images instantly.
By doing so, it aims to encourage collaboration across departments and improve patient care outcomes.
Guelph General Hospital pathology and laboratory medicine chief Dr Chris Ma said: “By adding digital pathology into our existing system, we will improve the quality of patient care, by enhancing diagnostic accuracy, precision, workflow and turnaround times.
“It will significantly enhance collaboration between our radiology and pathology teams, and we are confident that this unified approach will lead to better patient outcomes and improved care.”
Sectra’s digital pathology module is part of its enterprise imaging solution, which is designed to provide a unified strategy for all imaging requirements.
