Canada’s HEALWELL AI has entered two service agreements, each with WELL Health USA and its affiliate Circle Medical Technologies to provide AI-based preventative care solutions to the US market.
HEALWELL will allow US patients to access the services offered by its subsidiaries, notably Pentavere Research Group and Khure Health, to improve early diagnosis of patients at risk of certain conditions and their eligibility to receive approved medications.
Under one of the agreements, WELL USA’s CRH Medical, with over 100 gastrointestinal (GI) sites, will utilise Pentavere’s DARWEN AI platform to analyse data from around 200,000 patients across 21 states.
The AI platform is designed to generate real-world data on biologic prescribing patterns, clinic demographics, and patient outcomes, particularly for those suffering from Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and other GI conditions.
HEALWELL AI noted that the availability of this information will improve the understanding of treatment outcomes concerning various factors, such as prescribed medication types and patient characteristics.
This initiative aims to support patients with sub-optimally treated IBD in the US, potentially reducing healthcare costs and easing the burden on healthcare systems.

By GlobalDataAdditionally, HEALWELL’s Khure collaborated with Circle Medical to integrate its proprietary AI solution with Circle’s electronic medical record (EMR) system, thereby expanding its US presence.
Khure’s machine learning algorithms will analyse Circle’s extensive US clinical datasets to screen for patients requiring further investigation for certain conditions and to identify early diagnosis of rare diseases.
Khure will also help in identifying US patient cohorts potentially eligible for clinical trials.
Circle Medical, a primary care services provider in the US, currently offers virtual care services in over 30 states and operates 23 physical sites, reaching more than 75% of the American population.
HEALWELL CEO Dr Alexander Dobranowski said: “Enabling WELL USA and Circle Medical providers is a demonstration of this commitment and a major step forward for HEAWELL into the US market.
“Our partnerships with WELL USA and Circle Medical allow for our AI technology and clinical decision support capabilities to now also replicate the success of using AI in the Canadian market into the US.”
