Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) has announced a $7.5m contribution from The Kapnick Foundation, which will aid in the development of a new orthopaedic surgical centre in Naples, Florida, US.
This centre is pivotal to the partnership between HSS and Naples Comprehensive Health (NCH), aiming to improve orthopaedic care in the region.
NCH initiated the construction of the 100,000ft² Patty & Jay Baker Pavilion at the NCH North Naples Hospital campus in November 2023.
Expected to open in March 2025, the new facility will offer outpatient and inpatient musculoskeletal services, including rehabilitation, imaging, and The Kapnick Foundation Ambulatory Surgical Center.
The Kapnick Foundation’s donation, along with contributions from the Baker family and other donors, underscores a commitment to HSS’ mission to broaden access to quality musculoskeletal care.
This contribution is an extension of the Kapnick family’s previous support for HSS’ main campus in New York City.
