India-based Nayati Healthcare has purchased majority stake in PrimaMed Super Speciality Hospitals in Gurugram and Vimhans PrimaMed in South Delhi.

PrimaMed Super Speciality Hospitals is soon to be launched with 600beds, while Vimhans PrimaMed will be a 75-bed hospital.

The Gurugram hospital will feature 21 operation theatres, three cath labs and is spread over an area of six acres.

At present, Nayati operates Nayati Medicity in Mathura and Nayati Hospital in Agra and is expanding its footprint in Amritsar, Varanasi, Lucknow and Nagpur.

Nayati Healthcare chairperson and promoter Niira Radia told media sources: “The addition of PrimaMed will help us consolidate our position in North India and act as a strategic centre for the group.

“The acquisition of majority stake of these two hospitals in Gurugram and Delhi will help optimise clinical and service excellence.”

Nayati Healthcare co-promoter Rajesh Chaturvedi said that the new hospitals will enhance its ability to meet the medical needs in all group hospitals.

The hospital plans to take its total bed inventory to 2200 by FY 2021.

Chaturvedi added: “We will consolidate our position in Uttar Pradesh, on one hand we will increase the capacity of the Mathura facility from 351 to 775 so as to make it the largest super specialty in Western Uttar Pradesh and on the other hand will soon be developing a 550 beds tertiary care centre in Varanasi to cater to the Eastern Uttar Pradesh.”

Financial terms of the transactions have not been disclosed.
