Yatharth Hospital, a Delhi, India based hospital chain, has plans to double its bed capacity from the present 405 in the next two to three years, reported The Economic Times.

In an interview with the publication, the hospital’s whole time director Yatharth Tyagi said that the hospital chain is looking to become a leading brand in the northern region of India.

Yatharth has four hospitals in the northern part of India. Currently, Yatharth Hospital is in the process of expanding its two hospitals operating in Noida extension and Greater Noida region.

It has bought adjacent land parcels to expand the two hospitals, which are claimed to be among the top ten largest private hospitals in the Delhi-NCR region.

Following expansion, the two hospitals are expected to figure among the top five largest private hospitals in the region.

The Noida hospital was started in 2013 and had an occupancy rate of around 85% last year. The Greater Noida hospital was started in 2019 and had an occupancy rate of over 60% last year.

Yatharth’s hospital at Orchha,  Jhansi in the state of Madhya Pradesh, was started last year.

This hospital is about 500km from the Delhi-NCR region. 

Commenting on the expansion plans, Tyagi said: “We are looking in states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Punjab. So, this is where you will see our new acquisitions and hospitals coming up in few years.”

In the next few years, Yatharth expects to cross 3,000-bed capacity.

Under the specialty segment, Yatharth expects to fully start oncology from this year. Over the last couple of years, it started organ transplants, namely kidney transplant and bone marrow.
