British digital health company Kanabo Group has entered a partnership with City Dock Pharmacy in Wapping, London, UK, to open a new walk-in pain clinic.

This new clinic will ensure the availability of specialised medicinal, including cannabis treatments, in the UK.

It will offer both appointments and walk-in services, catering to the specific needs of chronic pain sufferers who often struggle to access medical treatments and services.

Kanabo said that this pain clinic at City Dock Pharmacy in Wapping, London

will utilise its online platform, called ‘Treat It’, with pharmacists available to assist patients in navigating their medicinal cannabis treatment options.

Treat It, an online clinic, was launched by Kanabo in February last year, focusing mainly on managing chronic pain in patients.

Additionally, this initiative aims to deliver personalised treatment plans and address the challenges faced by chronic pain sufferers across the UK, mainly due to long waiting times, bureaucratic hurdles, and affordability issues.

The collaboration between Kanabo Group and City Dock Pharmacy is further expected to enhance the patient experience by integrating Kanabo’s expertise in medicinal cannabis with conventional pain management treatments.

It targets patients who have not seen improvements with traditional therapies and are eligible for alternative options.

The partnership is anticipated to increase the number of patients receiving treatment through Kanabo’s Treat It platform.

The launch of the new walk-in pain aligns with Kanabo Group’s strategy, revealed in September 2023, to expand its presence in physical pharmacies throughout the UK, thereby offering its services to a broader patient base.

In the near future, the company plans to replicate this model across more pharmacies in the country, leveraging the extensive network within Kanabo’s digital health division.

Kanabo CEO Avihu Tamir said: “This collaboration is a testament to our dedication to innovating in pain management.

“The combination of City Dock Pharmacy’s trusted presence and our expertise in medicinal cannabis paves the way for a new, holistic approach to treating pain and the opportunity to extend this to additional indications.”
