Denmark-based building support supplier WindowMaster International has secured a contract from Laguna Honda Hospital in San Francisco to provide window automation hardware.

The company will also provide and commission its cloud-based control system, NV Embedded, for natural ventilation and façade automation.

Laguna Honda Hospital is undergoing construction and renovation works, of which 46,500m² is new construction and 14,000m² involves the renovation of existing buildings.

Once constructed, it will become one of the largest single-site skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities in the US.

The project will feature an intelligently controlled natural ventilation system that reduces carbon emissions and enhances indoor air quality and occupant comfort.

Laguna Honda Hospital is aiming to become the first hospital in California to be awarded LEED Silver status.

This new customer contract aligns with WindowMaster’s Accelerate Core Corporate Strategy, which defines its business areas as projects, products or services.

Laguna Honda Hospital is a 150-year-old facility that is owned and operated by San Francisco’s Department of Public Health.

Located on a 62-acre campus in the heart of the city, Laguna Honda is a skilled nursing and rehabilitation centre.

It provides therapeutic care for seniors and adults with disabilities.
