Lofta, a provider of at-home sleep apnea testing and treatment, has formed a collaboration with psychiatric care provider Bloom Mental Health to improve access to sleep disorder diagnostics for patients.

This partnership underscores the connection between sleep conditions and mental health issues encompassing anxiety, depression and cognitive impairment.

Bloom Mental Health, as a part of this initiative, will incorporate Lofta’s sleep study services into its patient care evaluations.

This integration is designed to facilitate the identification and treatment of sleep disorders among individuals facing mental health challenges.

Bloom Mental Health founder Dr Jadon Webb said: “While sleep is often acknowledged as vital for physical health, its critical role in mental health remains less recognised.

“We’ve found that patients struggling with anxiety, depression, or even conditions like ADHD frequently experience significant improvements when underlying sleep disorders are treated.

“Our collaboration with home sleep testing specialists highlights how convenient and accurate identification of sleep disorders can accelerate mental health recovery, revealing that good mental health often begins with better sleep.”

Lofta’s at-home sleep testing service aims to streamline the diagnostic process as it enables patients to conduct evaluations in their own homes, avoiding the need for traditional sleep lab visits.

The goal is to eliminate diagnosis barriers, thereby enhancing health outcomes and promoting an approach of treating issues related to both sleep and psychiatric.

In February this year, Lofta entered into a partnership with the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association (PMTA).

This collaboration, through Lofta Direct, seeks to provide trucking professionals with easier access to streamlined at-home sleep apnea testing and treatment.
