US-based healthcare-focused indoor navigation platforms provider LogicJunction has introduced its wayfinding technology at Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center, Florida, including the system’s recently completed Carol Jenkins Barnett Pavilion for Women and Children.
This system consists of wayfinding technologies that offer directions and real-time information to patients and families irrespective of whether they are at home or hospital. The easy-to-follow directions are given on a smartphone through the LRH GO mobile app using a blue dot, just as GPS.
Lakeland Regional Health Care Medical Center has become the second Florida hospital to make use of LogicJunction’s geomagnetic-enabled app, which has been developed in partnership with IndoorAtlas.
Replacing the requirement for huge hardware to offer accurate positioning indoors, this location-based technology enables users to find frequent locations, view hospital events, and get any location-based notifications.
For the non-mobile users, interactive directions and maps can be accessed within Patient & Visitor information on the Medical Center’s website.
Lakeland Regional Health associate vice president and chief technology officer Stacy Bolton said: “Technology has the power to connect people in innovative and practical ways.
