US-based health technology company Med-Metrix has agreed to provide revenue cycle management (RCM) services to VHC Health under a 15-year exclusive partnership.

The company aims to optimise all revenue cycle functions for VHC Health, a not-for-profit health system that serves the Washington DC metro area as part of the Mayo Clinic Care Network.

The partnership will make use of Med-Metrix’s specialised technology platform and RCM professionals, to enhance VHC Health’s operational efficiency and improve the patient experience.

To achieve this, the company will implement software designed to streamline the patient intake process.

VHC Health senior vice-president, chief financial officer and chief strategy officer John Zabrowski said: “We are excited to partner with Med-Metrix and utilise their technology solutions and operational best practices to strengthen VHC Health’s outcomes.

Based in New Jersey, Med-Metrix is a technology-enabled services platform that offers RCM and business intelligence solutions to health systems and physician groups in the US.

The company plans to introduce additional efficiencies into VHC Health during the term of the collaboration. 

As part of the agreement, around 200 revenue cycle employees from VHC Health have transitioned to employment with Med-Metrix, providing them with new opportunities for career advancement.
