Multi-specialty tertiary care provider Global Health (Medanta) and Elinquisite Real Estate are set to sign a binding term sheet for a new hospital with 300-bed capacity in Indore city in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

Located near the existing Medanta Indore Hospital, the multi super-specialty, tertiary care facility will provide multi-disciplinary care in more than 20 super specialties.

These specialties include neurosciences, cardiac, cancer, orthopaedics, digestive and hepatobiliary sciences.

The hospital will also enable scaling-up of the clinical services of Medanta in Indore.

Medanta chairman and managing director Dr Naresh Trehan said: “The new hospital in Indore will help us cater to the under-met healthcare needs of the city, and allow us to serve the population with high-end clinical programmes and technology across a range of super specialties.”

Expected to begin operations in FY 2027, the super-specialty hospital will include 100 critical care beds, 15 operation theatres and cath labs.

Additionally, the facility will provide day care services for radiation and chemotherapy.

Medanta Group CEO and director Pankaj Sahni said: “Expansion in the high-potential territory will fortify our presence in Central India, and help us deliver the highest standards of patient care that Medanta is known for.”

Under the Medanta brand, Global Health has a network of five hospitals that are currently in operation in Gurugram, Indore, Ranchi, Lucknow, and Patna.

As on 31 December 2022, they cover an area of 4.7 million square feet and have 2,571 installed beds.

Global Health also has one hospital that is under construction in Noida and provides healthcare services in more than 30 medical specialties engaging over 1,400+ doctors.
