Memorial Healthcare System, a US-based public healthcare system, together with breast wellness company Solis Mammography, has opened three new community-based breast screening centres in Florida, US.
The new centres have been established to reinforce the commitment of both organisations to enhance access to breast imaging services across the South Florida region in the US.

These facilities are Memorial | Solis Mammography Weston, at 4553 Weston Rd; Memorial | Solis Mammography Plantation, at 1033 South University Drive; and Memorial | Solis Mammography Palm Springs North, at 8547 NW 186th Street, Hialeah.
The centres feature a range of advanced technologies and are staffed by experienced healthcare professionals.
A notable feature of these community-based locations is Solis Mammography’s screening platform, which includes 3D mammography for improved accuracy and SmartCurve technology for a more comfortable mammogram experience.
In addition, the centres will offer dense breast ultrasounds as a supplemental screening tool.

By GlobalDataSolis Mammography said that the new centres aim to provide a welcoming and stress-free environment by offering flexible appointments and extended hours, making it easier for women in the Weston, Plantation, and Hialeah areas to prioritise their breast health.
People can also schedule screening mammograms online, without needing to consult a doctor, while dense breast ultrasounds require an order.
Solis Mammography CEO and president Grant Davies said: “Convenient, community-based access to advanced mammography screening services is the key to saving more lives.
“As we build on our strong alliance with Memorial to reach more women across South Florida, we’ll be able to expand upon our shared mission of detecting more breast cancers at earlier stages.”
The partnership between Solis Mammography and the South Florida-based public healthcare system began in the first quarter of 2023.
As part of this collaboration, Solis Mammography took over the management of Memorial’s hospital-based women’s imaging centres at Memorial Regional Hospital, Memorial Hospital Miramar Memorial Regional Hospital South, and Memorial Hospital West.
Memorial Healthcare System chief operating officer Leah Carpenter said: “Together, we prioritise women’s health, ensuring a pathway from preventative care to compassionate support of Memorial Cancer Institute, because every woman’s well-being and health journey deserves unwavering commitment.”
