Mercy, a health system in the US, has announced the launch of Mercy Clinic Primary Care – Waterloo Illinois Route 3, bringing quality and affordable health care to the region and surrounding Monroe County community.
The facility located in Waterloo, Illinois, which marks Mercy’s third clinic in Monroe County, is now open for patients.
Ribbon cutting ceremony for the new clinic was held on 28 January 2025.
Mercy Clinic Primary Care – Waterloo Illinois Route 3 supervising physician leader Dr Katie Ash said: “This new Mercy clinic is a great example of how Mercy is building on the legacy of the Sisters of Mercy while furthering our goal of keeping people healthy.
“The Sisters were known as the Walking Sisters for going out into communities to provide care where it’s needed. That’s exactly what we’re doing by adding a clinic in Waterloo.”
The new addition, which is situated at 1551 N. Illinois Route 3, will serve the community with a physician and Alan Meredith, physician assistant.
