MidAmerica Cancer Care (MACC) has announced its partnership with American Oncology Network (AON), a community-based oncology practice, to expand its services focused on patients.

This strategic alliance will also enable MACC to increase clinical study options and open new market opportunities, building on quality care.

MACC medical oncologist and haematologist Dr Jaswinder Singh said: “This collaboration enhances our ability to deliver advanced treatments while preserving the patient-centred approach that our patients rely on. We look forward to offering expanded services through this partnership, making care more convenient and improving outcomes for those we serve.”

MACC operates in the Kansas City metropolitan area and western Missouri.

The facility, known for its community-based oncology services, is staffed by 16 advanced practitioners and six board-certified medical oncologists.

It offers a range of cancer care services, which encompass treatment, diagnostics, clinical studies, survivorship programmes, and patient support.

MACC clinics are designed to ensure patient comfort and privacy, featuring private exam rooms and on-site infusion suites.

AON CEO Todd Schonherz said: “MACC is known for its exceptional patient-centred, community-based care, and their team’s extensive expertise aligns perfectly with AON’s mission to deliver individualised cancer care tailored to each patient’s unique needs.

“This partnership not only supports our goal of expanding access to high-quality, patient-first cancer care in local communities nationwide but also demonstrates AON’s ability to collaborate with both physician groups and hospital systems.

“By working alongside local health systems, we can further enhance community oncology in Kansas City and beyond. We are eager to collaborate and benefit from the expertise MACC providers bring to our network.”

MACC providers are currently accepting new patients.
