Midi Health, a virtual care clinic specialising in women’s midlife health, has collaborated with Ambience Healthcare to enhance its speciality services using the latter’s generative AI platform.

The collaboration will see Midi Health deploying Ambience’s AI operating system, which includes a suite of documentation tools such as AutoScribe, AutoCDI, AutoAVS, and AutoRefer.

These tools, designed to reduce clinician burnout, are completely integrated with athenahealth‘s electronic health record (EHR) system.

Midi Health allows patients to virtually connect with clinicians, specialising in perimenopause, menopause, and other aspects of female midlife health.

However, the company said it faced challenges in training new and existing clinicians to meet the increasing demand for care.

Ambience claims that its AI operating system has helped Midi triple the number of its clinicians and extended service line offerings.

This includes every element of menopause care, as well as weight management and survivorship support.

Besides, Ambience’s AI medical scribe and CDI assistant, known as AutoScribe and AutoCDI, are said to have enabled Midi clinicians to save more than three hours per day on documentation.

These time savings have allowed for deeper patient engagement, additional breaks, and the capacity to see three more patients per day, the vendor noted.

Furthermore, the Ambience AI operating system is claimed to have reduced the onboarding time by half for new clinicians at Midi, while ensuring reduced time to care for patients.

Ambience’s AutoScribe ensures documentation includes prior-authorisation requirements, lowering the risk of treatment rejections.

According to Ambience, its AI operating system has supported Midi’s efforts to holistically improve the patient experience in menopausal healthcare by enabling patients to interact more directly with their clinicians.

For clinicians, the Ambience AI operating system has helped eliminate the need to simultaneously perform various administrative tasks, such as writing notes and taking appointments.

MIDI Health founder and CEO Joanna Strober said: “Ambience Healthcare has been a key partner in expanding access to critical care for women during this unique life stage.

“Ambience was the only solution we found that consistently generates high-quality documentation for each of our subspecialties, helping us to rapidly scale services, and easily onboard new clinicians.”
