MPOWERHealth, a company specialising in the field of intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM), has completed the acquisition of certain assets of Assure Neuromonitoring’s IONM operations in crucial markets.  

This strategic move aims to expand MPOWERHealth’s IONM services, increasing its annual patient coverage to more than 55,000 and reinforcing its commitment to surgical safety and patient outcomes.

Assure, a provider of outsourced IONM and remote neurology services, received up to $4.5m in proceeds, of which $2.32m was paid at the initial closing of the transaction.  

A further potential earnout payment of up to $2.18m is contingent on the case volume from the acquired assets during the year following the initial closing.  

The transaction includes sale of the majority of Assure’s healthcare facility contracts, clinical equipment, and most of its employees, with the company retaining some assets such as accounts receivable and its revenue cycle management team employees.
