NCC has secured a further order with Västfastigheter covering part of the refurbishment and expansion of the operation and surgery ward at Northern Älvsborg County Hospital (NÄL – Norra Alvsborgs Lanssjukhus) in Trollhättan.

The order is valued at around Skr150m ($14.69m).

NCC has undertaken several previous assignments at NÄL, including refurbishment and expansion of the neonatal care ward, and refurbishment of a cardiology theatre and the operation division for gynaecology.

NCC Building Sweden business manager Joakim Antonsson said: “We are pleased to be part of the continuing development of NÄL alongside Västfastigheter.

“With our experience from previously completed projects and close dialogue with the hospital, we can maintain quality-assured and efficient work methods.”

Under the latest order, the refurbishment and expansion of the operation and surgery ward cover four operating theatres covering around 1,100m² and creating a hybrid, new 400m² operating theatre for vascular intervention procedures.
