Both firms announced the deal in December 2014. OGH is a healthcare and technology workforce solutions holding company in the US.
AMN Healthcare president Susan Salka said: "In addition to immediately bolstering AMN’s delivery of candidate supply during a strong demand environment, our recent acquisitions also build on the portfolio of innovative workforce solutions we offer in the marketplace.
"Client reaction to our recent announcements has been very positive, particularly as healthcare executives seek consultative solutions that enable the cost-efficient and effective management of clinical labour."
Onward Healthcare provides healthcare staffing to hospitals, outpatient clinics, magnet facilities, long-term care facilities and schools.
Locum specialises in placing physicians in temporary assignments across the nation, and is said to be one of the fastest growing locum tenens recruitment firms.

OGH founder Kevin Clark said: "There is a shared common culture of passion and integrity to deliver best-in-industry service that is felt across the companies.
"We are confident that this combination will bring even greater value to our clients during this transformational period in healthcare."
Implementation of the Affordable Care Act resulted in a significant expansion process within the US healthcare system.
