Patient access and referral management systems provider Kyruus has signed a partnership with Baystate Health to improve patient access across the latter’s $2bn integrated network based in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Baystate Health is a not-for-profit integrated health system serving a population of more than 750,000 people in communities across western Massachusetts.
The organisation will implement Kyruus’ cloud-based ProviderMatch software platform in its access centre to streamline and standardise the referral process.
ProviderMatch, which is claimed to be used by nearly 40% of physicians in Massachusetts, uses an active search engine to accurately match patients with the most appropriate provider, reduce patient scheduling errors, as well as prevent misdirected referrals.
A clinical library of more than 10,000 pre-loaded clinical and lay concepts and 250 provider speciality classifications will be searched to provide physicians, administrators and scheduling agents with any combination of conditions, synonyms or procedures.
Baystate Health Strategic Planning and Business Development vice-president Jean Ahn said: "We are thrilled to partner with Kyruus as we strive to provide the best clinical care and experience to every patient at Baystate.
"By working with such an innovative company, we are accelerating our mission to meet the community’s needs by leveraging state-of-the-art technology to better serve patients across western Massachusetts."
More than 150 scheduling and referral specialists will use the technology to match patients to providers within the Baystate Health network.
Kyruus CEO Graham Gardner said: "Kyruus is focused on delivering a better clinical match and improving patient experience by aligning provider ability, provider capacity, and patient preferences.
"We are thrilled to help support Baystate Health in their efforts to provide the right care at the right time to each of their patients."
Kyruus provides enterprise software solutions that allows hospitals and health systems to optimise patient experience across all channels of access.
