US-based Beaumont Health has collaborated with University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC) and its supply contracting firm Novation to increase cost savings and supply chain performance improvement.

With eight hospitals and 163 outpatient sites, Beaumont Health includes Beaumont Health System, Botsford Health Care, and Oakwood Healthcare.

Under the two-year partnership, Beaumont Health will be provided access to Novation’s price-competitive supply contracts and UHC’s supply chain analytics, in addition to offering consulting and tools for improving supply utilisation and standardisation.

Beaumont Health will also deploy UHC’s supply chain business intelligence tool SpendLINK to take strategic sourcing decisions.

SpendLINK tool will aggregate contracting and procurement data and provides price competitiveness of their supplier contracts relative to those of other hospitals and health systems.

In addition, UHC will provide its educational resources and programmes, including its Value Analysis Programme and Technology Assessment Programme to Beaumont Health .
