Cervilenz Inc has received the CE mark for its CerviLenz device, designed to measure vaginal cervical length.

Designed by Interplex Medical, the CerviLenz device is single-use and made of recyclable plastic.

Cervical length measurements help healthcare providers to diagnose and manage pregnant women with a high risk of giving birth prematurely.

Cervilenz president and CEO Dean Koch said the CerviLenz device will help reduce the rate of prematurity.

"Current technology alone will not be able to meet that need, and our new device is the perfect solution,” Koch said.
