US healthcare company Chindex International has officially opened Tianjin United Family Hospital in Beijing, China.
The new 75,000ft2 facility will provide inpatient services and contains two operating theatres.
Outpatient services include primary care, obstetrics and gynaecology, dental services, paediatrics, and emergency services.
Supporting departments include radiology and laboratory services.
The 26-licensed bed facility has established direct-billing relationships with international insurance companies for the convenience of its patients and is expected to begin its operations shortly.
Chindex president and CEO Roberta Lipson said that facility is the first foreign-operated, full-service hospital in Tianjin.
"We believe Tianjin offers a compelling market opportunity. The city has seen rapid economic and social progress in recent years and is home to a growing international community," Lipson said.
"Moving forward, we will continue to seek new development opportunities in Tianjin based on operating capacity needs and Tianjin's continued economic development."
