England’s Care Quality Commission (CQC) has issued a formal warning to the Lynwood Residential Home in Sunninghill, Berkshire, to improve safety and welfare or face further enforcement action.

The move follows an unannounced visit made by the inspectors in August 2011 which found the home was in breach of government regulations.

During the latest visit, inspectors discovered people were still not being supported in accordance with their recorded care needs or professional health care advice.

CQC South West regional director Ian Biggs said the regulator will continue to monitor the trust to ensure these improvements are sustained and will not hesitate to take action if it becomes necessary.
