Hackensack University Medical Center is set to reopen an acute care hospital at the site of the former Pascack Valley facility in New Jersey, US.
Hackensack received approval for the $40m plan last month, and is now in the final stages of opening the 128-bed facility, which will be known as Hackensack University Medical Center North at Pascack Valley.
The new hospital will feature all private patient rooms, an obstetrical unit, and an intensive / critical care unit.
Surgical capabilities include five operating rooms, a special procedure room and a cardiac catheterisation room.
It will act as an anchor for many in-demand, outpatient services such as radiology, women’s health and same-day surgery.
Hackensack University Medical Center North is located within three miles of the Rockland County, making it very accessible to residents of New York.
