US-based healthcare provider HCR ManorCare has opened its 47th post-acute health care centre, Heartland of Twinsburg, in the state of Ohio.
According to HCR ManorCare, the new 120-bed centre is set to provide employment for more than 150 people when it reaches full capacity.
The two-storey facility will enable the healthcare provider to offer 24hr skilled nursing care, and intensive rehabilitation services for short-term patients transitioning from hospital to home.
Heartland of Twinsburg administrator Joe Wilson said: "Rehabilitation and skilled medical care are important to the recovery process following an illness, injury or surgery."
Heartland of Twinsburg will feature MedBridge, a unit dedicated to short-term stays.
"MedBridge offers a higher level of skilled care and rehabilitation delivered by specialised staff designed to help patients reach their goals faster," added Wilson.
