The Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network (ICAHN) in the US has selected Availity, a real-time health information network, as the preferred patient access vendor for its 53 member hospitals.

Availity was selected as ICAHN member hospitals expressed a need to improve upfront collections and patient satisfaction, a critical service as the popularity of high-deductible health plans grows.

Availity Patient Access will help ICAHN’s member hospitals obtain accurate information about their patients’ financial responsibility before their visit.

It will also help secure insight into each patient’s ability to pay what they owe, provide payment options, as well as improve consistency of communication with patients about their payment obligations.
