Lansdale Hospital in Pennsylvania, US, has installed Toshiba America Medical Systems’ T.RAD Plus X-ray system with a new wireless detector.
The new wireless flat-panel digital detector, coupled with a 650lb capacity table with a rotating bucky tray, allows technologists to image a wide range of patients quickly and efficiently.
Lansdale Hospital Diagnostic Imaging supervisor Sherri Koller said that in an emergency department setting, the detector has cut down the time it takes to perform exams.
"The wireless DR panel eliminates the limitations with tethered detectors and is beneficial in improving exam efficiency," Koller added.
Owned and operated by Abington Health, Lansdale Hospital is a 125-bed, non-profit, acute care hospital that provides a range of inpatient and outpatient healthcare services.
