St Mary’s Healthcare System for Children has selected Lincor Solutions’ MEDIVista Bedside technology to improve patient care at its new facility due for completion this year.

The technology will allow the hospital staff to automate certain regular tasks at the bedside, get direct access to electronic patient files, reduce paperwork and improve patient care.

The touch-screen platform will facilitate educational content and multimedia entertainment services to patients.

MEDIVista will help hospitals to improve clinical outcomes and patient care.

The technology is powered with a range of diagnostic, information and hospital management applications at the point-of-care, the company said.

By providing controlled access to information, services and applications at patient bedside, hospitals can optimise clinical automation, business intelligence, operational efficiency and security.

St Mary’s executive vice president and chief medical officer Dr Eddie Simpser said the software functionality of MEDIVista will reduce paperwork for staff and improve the level of care for the children.

"We intend to maximise the use of this device in our day-to-day as we move forward," Simpser added.

St. Mary’s Healthcare System provides intensive rehabilitation, specialised care, and education to children with special needs and life-limiting conditions.
