Virtual Imaging, a fully owned unit of Canon USA, a provider of digital imaging solutions, has announced that Norton Healthcare has purchased the RadPRO1 OMNERA 400T Manual-Positioning Digital Radiography System for its Norton Audubon Hospital.

Norton Healthcare serves adult and pediatric patients throughout Louisville Metro, providing care at more than 210 locations throughout Greater Louisville and Southern Indiana.

Interstate Imaging is an authorised Virtual Imaging dealer, assisted Norton with the selection of the RadPRO OMNERA 400T Digital Radiography System.

This system provided advanced imaging with a minimal learning curve since Norton already had a fleet of RadPRO Mobile Digital X-ray Systems equipped with Canon detectors and software.

Interstate Imaging vice president Bob Bedwell said: "In recommending the RadPRO OMNERA 400T Digital Radiography System, we were confident that the system would provide a smooth transition, minimal learning curve and consistency with the hospital's current Canon detectors and RadPRO mobile devices."

Virtual Imaging president and Canon USA Business Imaging Systems Group Healthcare Solutions Division vice president and general manager Tsuneo Imai said: "We understand that the healthcare industry has many options in selecting a digital radiography system, and we are honored that our products were chosen by the seasoned and knowledgeable healthcare professionals at Norton."
