US-based healthcare system OSF HealthCare has selected CipherHealth’s Orchid as its new digital rounding solution, in a bid to improve staff efficiency and enhance patient satisfaction.
Orchid is a digital application that allows hospitals to aggregate data and identify trends, while saving staff time.

OSF HealthCare chief information officer Jim Mormann said: "Rounding is one of the key functions in day-to-day hospital operations. We aimed to find the best tool available in order to truly modernise the process and bring the best technology into the system."
Orchid helps hospitals collect data in real-time during rounding, allowing necessary improvements to be made and provide additional transparency into hospital processes.
Other features of Orchid include an intuitive interface, seamless compatibility with the system’s EMR, streamlined issues management and an advanced analytics platform that offers actionable data in real-time.
