Saint Anne’s Hospital and PrimaCARE have signed a ten-year clinical and strategic affiliation agreement to enhance healthcare quality and clinical coordination for patients in the Greater Fall River area, Massachusetts, US.

Under the affiliation agreement, Saint Anne’s will build a new bed tower that includes a cardiac catheterisation lab and inpatient unit.

The $35m project will create a parking structure, 38,000ft² of new hospital space and provides PrimaCARE and Saint Anne’s patients access to clinical technology and private inpatient rooms and facilities.

PrimaCARE and Saint Anne’s will integrate their electronic medical records systems, case management, and disease management to facilitate better communication to provide better care.

PrimaCARE CEO Richard Mateus said this affiliation will give them the tools, facilities and infrastructure needed to provide better care for patients.

"Our physicians will have all the information they need to care for our patients, and our patients will receive high quality care in modern, comfortable facilities when they are in Saint Anne’s," Mateus added.
