Schneck Medical Center in Indiana, US, has chosen to implement Omnicell’s G4 medication management solutions for its pharmacy, nursing and perioperative care areas.
The G4 platform is designed to decrease the risk of human error and improve pharmacy workflow.

Schneck will also implement several new solutions from the Omnicell G4 platform, including OmniRx G4 Automated Medication Dispensing Cabinets, which are designed to monitor and control drug dispensing, and the Anesthesia Workstation G4, which provides secure access to drugs required during surgery and to documentation for controlled substances.
In addition, the firm will install its controlled substance management system for controlled substance dispensation and its Anywhere RN solution for nurses to remotely review and select medication orders.
Schneck expects to complete the installation in November 2011.
