Centracare Health System’s St Cloud Hospital in Minnesota, US, has installed the Merge Healthcare iConnect Vendor Neutral Archive(VNA) and iConnect Share image interoperability solutions.

iConnect VNA stores medical images and workflow documents from multiple sites and specialities, allowing a patient-centric view of key information from multiple specialties.

iConnect VNA and iConnect Share, internet-based image sharing solutions, are designed to provide faster time to treatment, increase referrals and reduce costs.

Merge Healthcare CEO Jeff Surges said the iConnect VNA allows St Cloud to centralise imaging storage for all of the images across its entire system.

St Cloud Hospital chief information officer Amy Porwoll said that iConnect VNA would reduce the isolation of data and increase access to images, facilitating better patient care.
