Vibra Healthcare has selected multiple PatientKeeper software modules to enhance physicians’ access to patient information and design documentation processes at its long-term acute care hospitals.
Vibra Healthcare in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, expects that PatientKeeper’s clinical and physician documentation software products will enhance satisfaction among affiliated community physicians that practice at its facilities.
PatientKeeper, a provider of physician healthcare information systems, enables physicians to focus on patients by providing software that streamlines physician workflow to improve productivity and patient care.
Vibra will deploy the PatientKeeper Physician Portal and PatientKeeper Mobile Clinical Results to provide physicians with access to patient information through desktop and laptop computers, smartphones and tablets.
The company also deploys PatientKeeper NoteWriter, for electronic physician documentation; and PatientKeeper Sign-Out and eSignature, to enhance communication among physicians and further streamline documentation.
The company said PatientKeeper is designed as a physician-friendly overlay to an HIS, so hospitals can implement PatientKeeper without replacing any of their existing IT infrastructure.

By GlobalDataVibra Healthcare Information Technology executive vice president Marie Roof said PatientKeeper was very well received by physicians at Vibra’s facilities who saw demonstrations.
"They were extremely positive and excited because the electronic documentation workflow was consistent with the way they’re used to doing documentation," Roof added.
"And PatientKeeper will feed directly into our EMR, creating a ‘closed loop’ system that pulls and pushes information to the core HIS systems to ensure that all patient data automatically becomes part of the medical record."
