US-based inpatient speciality hospital network Nexus Health Systems has launched the Nexus Children’s Hospital in Dallas, Texas, US.

The new Nexus Children’s Hospital – Dallas is a post-acute care facility that treats children and young adults who have serious injuries or illnesses such as brain or spinal cord injuries and autism, among others.

This facility takes care of children after they have been treated at other hospitals and psychiatric facilities, helping them get better and go home faster.

Spanning over 80,000ft², the Dallas hospital comprises 60 private rooms, along with advanced rehabilitation and therapy gyms, indoor and outdoor play areas, and a soothing sensory room for children with severe developmental disorders.

Nexus Children’s Hospital has been assisting children for about 25 years with special programmes.

The hospital’s Harbor Program is intended for children who need long-term care after an injury or illness, while its New Directions Program helps children with behaviour problems, medical issues, or communication challenges.
