Northwell Health has partnered with multi-speciality medical practice CareMount Medical to boost health care services in Manhattan, Westchester, New York, US.
With operations in 45 locations across New York State, CareMount runs urgent care centres, clinical laboratories, endoscopy suites, radiology services and infusion suites.

The medical group previously partnered with Northwell Health’s Northern Westchester Hospital (NWH).
As part of the latest clinical affiliation agreement, Northwell and CareMount will work on new initiatives such as clinical integration and ambulatory collaboration from 1 January 2020.
The partners will also enter service agreements aimed at operational efficiencies for offering quality care to patients in the greater New York City, Westchester and Hudson Valley.
In addition, Northwell and CareMount plan to leverage their respective population health infrastructures to deliver more resources, preventative medicine and cost-effective treatment to patients.

The latest collaboration will also provide CareMount patients with access to Northwell facilities, services and capabilities.
Currently, Northwell runs approximately 750 outpatient facilities, including nearly 200 primary care practices and 23 hospitals such as Northern Westchester, Phelps Hospital in Sleepy Hollow and Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan.
CareMount Medical president and CEO Scott Hayworth said: “This new collaboration with Northwell represents a significant strategic step in CareMount’s focus to deliver coordinated, high quality care that improves the patient’s experience and health while lowering overall health care costs.”
The partners intend to leverage their clinical affiliation partnership to explore additional initiatives in New York City and Westchester.
