New York-based health system Northwell Health has opened a multispecialty physician practice in Edgewater, New Jersey, marking its first such practice in the state.
The Northwell Health Physician Partners (NHPP) practice will provide primary care, specialty services with focus on liver diseases.

This includes hepatology and liver transplant expertise from the Northwell Transplant Institute in Manhasset, New York.
NHPP senior vice president and executive director Mark Talamini said: “Many New Jersey residents who commute into New York City already get some form of care from Northwell Health clinicians.
“We believe that care begins close to home and we see northern New Jersey as a natural extension of the coordination of care we already offer throughout the New York Metro market.”
The Edgewater location aims to improve access to Northwell’s services for New Jersey patients, particularly those seeking pre- and post-transplant care.
