Indian clinical software company OmniMD has introduced AI Clinician, an advanced clinical assistant designed to enhance the quality of care across various healthcare environments.

The intelligent assistant offers predictive intelligence, real-time collaboration, and cognitive support.

AI Clinician is built on three core pillars that aim to address the pressing of administrative overload, disjointed data, and clinical inefficiencies respectively.

The solution processes unstructured data in real-time, equipping clinicians with an understanding of each patient’s medical background and potential health risks.

Its voice-enabled capabilities allow it to listen, comprehend and document patient visits, as well as streamline note-taking and coding by automating these processes.

Another key component of the system is AI Medical Scribe, a purpose-built documentation assistant designed to reduce the time spent on charting.

The scribe combines conversational AI, ambient listening and clinical natural language processing (NLP).

In addition, AI Clinician can be integrated with any electronic health record (EHR) system, supporting fast healthcare interoperability resources (FHIR) application programming interfaces (APIs) and interoperability standards.

OmniMD product head Indravadan Gohil said: “AI Clinician represents a clinical renaissance, not to replace physicians, but to elevate them.

“We’ve engineered a solution that doesn’t just automate tasks; it thinks, learns, and supports.

“It’s about creating a practice environment where clinicians thrive, and patients feel truly seen.”

The company said that AI Clinician has already been adopted across progressive and established practices, as well as speciality clinics, in the US.

Over the coming months, the software business plans to expand its AI-powered offerings with the launch of AI Front Desk and AI RCM.

AI Front Desk aims to streamline scheduling, eligibility checks and patient check-ins while AI RCM is designed to serve as a fully automated revenue cycle management (RCM) engine.

These solutions are intended to ‘redefine’ modern clinical services by making them faster, smarter and more connected.
