The Pennant Group has acquired US-based skilled hospice services provider Southwestern Palliative Care and Hospice (Southwestern) for an undisclosed sum.

Southwestern offers skilled hospice services in Yuma, Arizona.

It offers nurse practitioner home visits for eligible patients. These visits provide primary care and palliative care, catering to those who require regular home visits or need assistance with symptom management.

Pennant CEO Brent Guerisoli said: “We are pleased to continue our growth in the state of Arizona and complement our agencies in Southern Arizona.

“This acquisition further solidifies our commitment to these communities, and expands our ability to provide life-changing hospice services to residents of Yuma and its surrounding communities.”

Southwestern Palliative Care Associates is an association of healthcare providers, including nurse practitioners, registered nurses, certified emergency paramedics, LNAs, social workers, chaplains, and physicians, who offer a range of essential services as needed.
