Premier Anesthesia in the US has announced the expansion of its services across southeast Ohio in partnership with Holzer Health System, integrating services across four key facilities.

As part of this move, Premier Anesthesia will collaborate with hospitals and surgery centres to provide care in various clinical settings.

The anesthesia practice management company will join forces with Holzer Gallipolis, Holzer Gallipolis Surgery Center, Holzer Jackson and Holzer Athens Surgery Center.

It reflects an emerging model of care where a management company and hospital work together to transition clinical teams and enhance the operation of the anaesthesia programme.

The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) from the Holzer anaesthesia team will become employees of the health system.

Premier Anesthesia will serve as the practice management partner, aiming to recruit additional CRNAs and physician anaesthesiologists.

The goal is to support coverage needs across all locations and implement best practices in management, clinical care and patient service.

The partnership will see the development of care models tailored to each facility’s requirements.

Services will cover a diverse range of clinical needs, including endoscopy, obstetrics, ophthalmology and orthopaedics.

Premier Anesthesia president Preston Smith said: “We are honoured to partner with Holzer Health System, an organisation that shares our dedication to high-quality, patient-centred care.

“This collaboration allows us to bring our tailored anaesthesia solutions to a region known for combining cutting-edge technology with care that is focused on the needs of patients and their families.”

The 266-bed Holzer Gallipolis hospital is catering to the Southeast Ohio River Valley from 1909, and the Holzer Gallipolis Surgery Center offers a variety of surgical procedures.

Holzer Jackson provides outpatient care, while Holzer Athens Surgery Center specialises in outpatient surgical services.

The collaboration follows Premier Anesthesia’s earlier partnership with Taylor Station Surgery Center in Columbus, Ohio, US.
